Omar Al Halabi is a highly motivated, result oriented Advisor with 14 years of experience.  Al Halabi has a drive for excellence – leading major program management offices with strategy in the public/private sectors.  His most recent assignment is Associate Director at KPMG Deals Advisory – part of the Global Strategy Group working on education development projects and privatization initiatives. The strong emphasis on education is a main driver for the stimulation of the Foreign Direct Investment.  Previously, Al Halabi was with the Public Investment Fund in Saudi Arabia as a Business/ Financial Advisor working with their Investment Division.  He founded and led APSE (Applied Services) across the Middle East which launched initiatives on developing the educational delivery process across K-12 schools with the focus on latest trends and research on education innovation – working hand in hand with NGO’s including UNESCO.

During this time the group launched several programs to support the education development in the region. In addition, Al Halabi worked on educational development plans with advanced governmental bodies like ADEC (Abu Dhabi Education Council) and the UAE Ministry of Education. For 9 years Al Halabi was leading the Strategy and Business Development at Johnson Controls, Inc. in the Middle East Region.

Al Halabi holds an MBA from IE Business School, Madrid, along with a Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from MUST, Cairo, and An Executive Education Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT, Sloan School of Management, Boston, beside a program certificate on SME Business in Asia from the Fudan School of Management, Shanghai.
